It&#8217;s time to have another oil change. It&#8217;s also the time I want to write a review about this beautiful and wonderful car for both my wife and me driving it all over CA, and work.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>We got this car in Jan of 2023 with 30400 miles on it. It&#8217;s one owner from Monterey, CA and we got it from Monterey Audi with an extended warranty from Audi for 4\/48k miles which meant at this time the car is out of warranty. At the time there weren&#8217;t many low miles A8L in the Bay Area.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Since I&#8217;ve DIY all my maintenance, I&#8217;ve changed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dognmonkey.com\/audi\/oil-change-on-a8l-55-d5-3-0t.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><button class=\"w3-button w3-green w3-round-xlarge\">oil every 10k miles just like Audi recommended<\/button><\/a>. What has been wrong with the car in 50k miles driving it?<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>1. One recall for the starter (Stop &amp; Start) done with Audi of Fremont (nice people).<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>2. CEL on due to N509 Valve faulty, replaced under the extended warranty @60k miles.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>3. The washer reservoir needs to be filled up every 2-3 weeks due to the Jam Assist being used daily, hence the lidar sensor in the front needs washing constantly.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>4. One set of tires.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The car has been upgraded with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dognmonkey.com\/audi\/audi-a8l-d5-park-assist-plus-retrofit.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><button class=\"w3-button w3-blue w3-round-xlarge\">Parking Assistant Plus by me<\/button><\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Everything is working perfectly as of this writing, we love our A8L and we plan to drive it until it dies because at 80k miles, the car is still so comfortable, quiet, so fast and still gets 30+MPG on the freeways @70+MPH with regular gas from Costco.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>We&#8217;re very disappointed to learn that A8L no longer available after 2026.
