Software that I think needed for me to download: Speedview, Gps test (to check out the GPS if NO WIFI connection), if WIFI is connected, to verify GPS working, just click the Maps or Latitude icon and I can see my house on Google map. Speedview actually shows the errors of our speedometer while driving, it’s about 2 miles difference.
With GPS installed, I want my device to be a navigator for my car when I travel. I have not tried any paid software like many forum members suggested, I just use Navigation built in software from Google and it seems to work great. I need to get the current GPS location and the Google map for the destination, it will calculate the driving direction and starts to navigate even when we leave the WIFI area.
I typed Frys and all Fry’s electronics stores came up (amazing Google)
Now, we’ve verified that the GPS is functional. Next we want to test all the physical ports.
