Anyhow, since the 2.5&#8243; hard drive is going down in prices, we can get a 500Gb for $49, we decided to upgrade the hard drive and use the old 250Gb as a USB external with a $7 enclosure.<\/i><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><i>The way the hard drive set up in the back of the base is very easy to get to, 2 screws and the lid comes out.<\/i><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><i><a title=\"hard drive cover\" href=\"\/media\/ao751hhd\/image1.jpg\" class=\"preview\" rel=\"lightbox[acer]\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"vertical-align: baseline; border: 2px solid black;\" title=\"hard drive cover\" src=\"\/media\/ao751hhd\/tn_image1.jpg\" height=\"169\" width=\"300\" alt=\"hard drive cover\" \/><\/a><\/i><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><i>The 2.5&#8243; hard drive is secured by an aluminum shield with a few screws to hold the hard drive down.<\/i><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><i><a title=\"Aluminum hard drive shield\" href=\"\/media\/ao751hhd\/image2.jpg\" class=\"preview\" rel=\"lightbox[acer]\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"vertical-align: baseline; border: 2px solid black;\" title=\"Aluminum hard drive shield\" src=\"\/media\/ao751hhd\/tn_image2.jpg\" height=\"169\" width=\"300\" alt=\"Aluminum hard drive shield\" \/><\/a><\/i><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><i>Remove these screws and we can see the hard drive under it. Make sure the hard drive lays down flat and connector in completely.
