It was an old ghost movie, I need to encode it to MKV and MP4 for my<a class=\"ib2 fancybox.iframe\" title=\"mediaportal 1.2.3 on windows 7\" href=\"\/\/www.dognmonkey.com\/techs\/mediaportal-1-2-3-installation-on-windows-7.html\"> Media Portal 1.2.3<\/a> and <a class=\"ib2 fancybox.iframe\" title=\"Toshiba Thrive\" href=\"\/\/www.dognmonkey.com\/techs\/?cat=27\">Thrive to play<\/a>. I actually don&#8217;t have a blu-ray player. Things have changed for the better since the last time I wrote an<a class=\"ib2 fancybox.iframe\" title=\"backup blu-ray to avchd\" href=\"\/\/www.dognmonkey.com\/techs\/back-up-bluray-to-avchd-and-mp4.html\"> article about blu-ray<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/sr3RaYaKDSw?rel=0\" frameborder=\"0\" width=\"420\" height=\"236\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>There are many ways to back up blu-ray and many software out there to use. It&#8217;s dependent upon what results you want to have. All I want is to back up to MKV and MP4. I have an i5 2500k HD3000 system which is pretty fast for doing video conversion stuff. I didn&#8217;t really want to shell out more money for the i7. My system can back up the whole Blu-Ray DVD in less than 2 hours to both MKV and MP4 files.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em><\/em><em>We need to decrypt the Blu-ray and copy all the files to the hard drive. After it&#8217;s verified, launch handbrake 9.8 and load this big file.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em><\/em><a class=\"preview\" title=\"look for the main movie - biggest file\" href=\"\/media\/videos\/bluray12\/sm_anydvd5.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox[bluray]\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" title=\"look for the main movie - biggest file\" src=\"\/media\/videos\/bluray12\/tn_anydvd5.jpg\" alt=\"main movie\" width=\"226\" height=\"250\" \/><\/a>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <a class=\"preview\" title=\"launch handbrake and load the main movie\" href=\"\/media\/videos\/bluray12\/sm_handbrake.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox[bluray]\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" title=\"launch handbrake and load the main movie\" src=\"\/media\/videos\/bluray12\/tn_handbrake.jpg\" alt=\"handbrake\" width=\"250\" height=\"147\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>I just use the normal profile, constant 20 for MKV and 23 for MP4, audio, select the HD1 file which is the Main English DTS file.
