We no longer need install.rb to install homebrew.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><em>brew install ntfs-3g (not <del>homebrew\/fuse\/<\/del>ntfs-3g)<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/oMiKXlHBOd4\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><em>2017-01-11 I tried to install Fuse 3.5.4 on macOS Sierra using the same procedure but failed to install Homebrew miserably due to error &#8220;\/usr\/local\/bin: not a directory&#8221;. After hours of Googling and I found <a href=\"https:\/\/gist.github.com\/skyl\/36563a5be809e54dc139\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Skyl on github who wrote a script &#8220;Homebrew without sudo&#8221; (amazing script)<\/a>. He really made my day. Thanks Skyl. Now after installing homebrew correctly with install.rb. Here are the simple instruction codes needed to get fuse 3.5.4 to work. There are many paid software out there to do that, but <a href=\"\/\/www.howtogeek.com\/236055\/how-to-write-to-ntfs-drives-on-a-mac\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Howtogeek.com has an article on how to do this manually<\/a>. It&#8217;s not hard, very easy and it works perfectly. We need all the files: \u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/osxfuse\/osxfuse\/releases\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Fuse for MacOS 3.5.3 (current)<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/itunes.apple.com\/us\/app\/xcode\/id497799835?mt=12\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">XCODE<\/a>, <a href=\"\/\/brew.sh\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Homebrew<\/a>.
