So I found a way on the internet to mount external USB NTFS hard drive to write and read from it, sometime it works, sometimes it doesn&#8217;t <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dognmonkey.com\/techs\/how-to-make-external-ntfs-hard-drives-writable-in-big-sur.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><button class=\"w3-button w3-green w3-round-xlarge\">using fstab file<\/button><\/a>.. I still need to install macFuse and brew.sh to install ntfs-3g but I need to use different command to mount the external NTFS partition.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><code>brew tap gromgit\/homebrew-fuse<\/code><\/p>\n<p><code>brew install --cask macfuse<\/code><\/p>\n<p><code>brew install ntfs-3g-mac<\/code><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>After installed everything, turn on show all files and copy the whole directory 2021.8.22 from usr\/local\/Cellar\/ntfs-3g-mac\/ to the \/User\/louis\/ and rename it to anything easy to access like &#8220;ntfs&#8221;<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"igallery\">\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a title=\"2021.8.22 folder\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dognmonkey.com\/techs\/wp-content\/uploads\/z_2021_8_22.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-8353\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dognmonkey.com\/techs\/wp-content\/uploads\/z_2021_8_22-200x112.jpg\" alt=\"2021.8.22 folder\" width=\"200\" height=\"112\" \/><\/a> <a title=\"rename 2021.8.22 to ntfs and copy to ~\/\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dognmonkey.com\/techs\/wp-content\/uploads\/z_ntfs_folder.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-8354\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dognmonkey.com\/techs\/wp-content\/uploads\/z_ntfs_folder-200x112.jpg\" alt=\"rename 2021.8.22 to ntfs\" width=\"200\" height=\"112\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Plug in the USB NTFS hard drive.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><i><\/i><i>Use diskutil list to find out the disk and partition.
