Most of Windows Laptops are installed with Intel Wifi/Bluetooth modules, the popular ones are AC7260 (2×2) or 3160 (1×1). For Hackintoshes, most of us have to replace with broadcom Wifi/Bluetooth modules to have our hackintoshes WiFi and Bluetooth natively working. had come up with a patch to work with these Intel modules. Although the WiFi […]
If you use OpenCore to boot hackintosh HP laptops, chances are you may encounter the POST Error screen due to RTC mis-match in the bios. The only way to fix this is toe patch RTCFix from Rehabman to the DSDT.
One of the requirement for a perfect hackintosh is getting the internal sound to work natively, and AppleALC.kext with Lilu.kext will help to get most of the Audio Codecs working perfectly with sounds. The pair must be at the correct versions for them to work together. You will need DPCIManager to identify the audio codecs […]
Most of our Windows Laptops don’t have Broadcom Bluetooth and Wifi combo that support macOS Catalina. We need to patch the DSDT and SSDTs correctly for these functions to work just like the originals. We need apps: iasl, maciASL, and information from Rehabman reference websites. There […]
These days with new Lilu.kext and WhateverGreen.kext, ACPI power management is taken care of by using PluginType1 like SSDT-PLUG.aml. The old way of using SSDTPRGEN.sh seems to go away, but I’ve found for some laptops with Catalina, this one is still the best for sleep/wake, speed steps and performing just like Windows would.
The best way to make a hackintosh is to install macOS on an external USB hard drive with your laptop or desktop to make sure everything works before installing it to the internal Hard Drive. This is how I configure and install an external USB hard drive for Catalina 15.5. Assuming you have a bootable […]
When you have a Hackintosh desktop or laptop display on the external TV or Monitor with HDMI and the color comes out Pink or Magenta, which means the output display of the frame buffer is configured to DP (4) by default. We need to change the connector and type to 0x00080000 which is HDMI for […]
