The macOS Big Sur 11.0.1 is officially released for download and upgrade. This post will show how I installed on my Windows Laptops and Desktops. This OS did change quite a few things that will not work with the older Catalina setup. To use OpenCore to boot, we need 0.6.3+ version, I did use 0.6.4 […]
Most of Windows Laptops are installed with Intel Wifi/Bluetooth modules, the popular ones are AC7260 (2×2) or 3160 (1×1). For Hackintoshes, most of us have to replace with broadcom Wifi/Bluetooth modules to have our hackintoshes WiFi and Bluetooth natively working. had come up with a patch to work with these Intel modules. Although the WiFi […]
Most of our Windows Laptops don’t have Broadcom Bluetooth and Wifi combo that support macOS Catalina. When we first started, we can use an inexpensive USB wifi dongle to connect to internet with our Hackintoshes. I had an old Netis WF2111 n150 that works. The problem is not many external USB wifi dongles have updated […]
The best way to make a hackintosh is to install macOS on an external USB hard drive with your laptop or desktop to make sure everything works before installing it to the internal Hard Drive. This is how I configure and install an external USB hard drive for Catalina 15.5. Assuming you have a bootable […]

Create your first Laptop Hackintosh means installing macOS Catalina 15.5 on your Windows Laptop. It’s not hard but not easy, the best thing is to understand what needs to be done to get it working just like a MacBook Pro or MacBook Air. Clover boot loader seems NOT to handle Lilu.kext, WhateverGreen.kext and SSDT-PNLF.aml well when it comes to setting the backlight level on Hackintosh while OpenCore boot loader sets the maximum brightness every time. In the case of low backlight with Clover, we can use and its SSDT-PNLF.aml to set the brightness to maximum.
. has been the best boot loader for Hackintosh, since the macOS Catalina 10.15.4+, there are quite a few bugs with the newer versions, r5089-5098 don’t scan boot volumes. The only versions seem to work are 5107-5115 but still buggy. My HP x360 i7-4510u Haswell HD4400 only works with r5107 or newer while M7-J120dx works with r5078. […]
