Our old faithful LG Tromm dryer has been tripped with high temp sensor frequently, the lints stayed inside the dryer and burnt so badly. We blow the vent pipes but it didn’t open widely until we bought a new LG dryer and it has air flow sensor which shows the vent is clogged. We never cleaned the vent in 19 years. We bought this vent cleaner kit from Amazon and we’re amazed that how much wet lint we removed from the vent pipe.
Since the vent is inside the wall, goes up from the bottom to the top of the wall and goes out to the outside, each pipe is about 15 feet, so we bought the one with 35 feet length. All the rods connected with screws and threads really tight and solid. This kit came with a connector for the drill and a very nice brush that fits the vent diameter very nicely. One thing nice is that the brush pushes the lint backward out of the vent so we can remove it easily.
For $28 we fixed the vent problem for over a month now. If we did this before, we didn’t have to get the new dryer because the old one is still working.
Anyhow, before you replace the dryer due to high temp sensor tripped often due to being overheated, clean the pipe first.
