Finally I’ve pulled the trigger to get a real MacBook Air since the hackintosh is limited to Intel 10th Generation. This one is M4 2025 model, refurbished by Apple like new. I got it for under $600 with 16GB RAM and 512GB NVME which is cheaper than many used one on Craigslist and it has 1 year warranty.
The laptop came with macOS Sequoia and I updated to the latest 15.7.4, I hold off on the new macOS Tahoe because of bugs still.
The laptop does last quite long but not really 18 hrs as it claimed on the specs, but I can use pretty much all day on and off. The construction is solid, the screen is very beautiful, love the finger print feature to unlock the screen.
The thunderbolt works fine, the iMovie, Handbrake don’t seem much faster than my Dell hackintosh 5401.
Anyhow, at least I have a real Mac to do stuff with, the WiFi is excellent and the thunderbolt Ethernet works well too. HDMI works perfectly.
Since this is a real Mac, I had to use to access all my NTFS USB drives and they’re fast. Great software.
Bought a spare Tee Magnetic 3 Charging Cable from Amazon for traveling.
