01/16/2016 The mixer came, this is how to hook up a simple karaoke system with Chromecast, Karaoke Mixer, Wireless Microphones and sound bar or receiver.

OK, the kids like to sing after watching The Voice. I set up a Karaoke system for them with the existing Electronic components at home: a sound bar with subwoofer, a receiver with speakers, a LED TV with HDMI input and optical/analog outputs, an Xbox One, Xbox 360, an old Karaoke DVD player with microphone inputs/echo function, a set of wireless microphones.

  1. Xbox One to stream Youtube Karaoke songs to TV via HDMI (cost money to buy xbox live -$39/year) or : Apple TV, Chrome Cast, Fire Stick, Roku, Laptop, PC, iPhones, Android phones, iPods, iPads to stream Youtube to Chrome Cast, Fire stick.
  1. Output of TV: optical or analog to sound bar inputs.
  2. Wireless microphone output to Karaoke player microphone input or Karaoke audio mixer: should have microphone echo function.
  3. Output of Karaoke player or mixer connect to Stereo receiver input (CD, Tape, Videox, etc).
  4. Stereo Receiver will be output for the voice through microphone.
  5. Sound bar output will be the sound of music from the Youtube video.
  6. 2 separate devices for sound, more clear.
  7. If you only have one source of Stereo output: get a mixer, connect output of TV and microphones to Mixer, output of the mixer to the Stereo receiver input.

  • Hi I need help I have a smart tv I used the optical digital wire from the tv to the reciever to have the sound comes out and the mic to the rievcer but only one works at a time if I play music the mic doesnt work and if i have the mic on the music doesnt work please send me an email thank you.

  • Hi. Ive tried my best to work it out and followed your instructions step by step.

When ive first tried it, the microphone and chromecast were separated. It has his own channel input (amplifier). One goes to Sat Tv channel input and one goes to Portable channel input.

    Ive tried it again.

Then Finally, Picture from the tv and mic goes in one channel input (amplifier) but unfortunately, theres no sound coming out (tv) but microphones works perfectly.

    What ive did is the
    1. red+white cords goes to AUDIO out (tv) connected to in (mixer)

    2. Out (mixer) goes to my amplifier (sony muteki 7.1) audio in (SA-cd/cd)

    3. Chromecast is connected to the outlet goes to Tv HDMI.

I really hope you can help me.

    • make sure the mixer volume is set to middle allowing both mic and tv sound together and not 100% mic.
