How To Use AppleALC For Hackintosh Audio

July 27, 2020 / 718 views

One of the requirement for a perfect hackintosh is getting the internal sound to work natively, and AppleALC.kext with Lilu.kext will help to get most of the Audio Codecs working perfectly with sounds. The pair must be at the correct versions for them to work together. You will need DPCIManager to identify the audio codecs of your system or you can get the device ids from Windows. You will need to use programmer calculator to convert hex to base 10 of your codecs to search in the AppleALC.kext info.

  1. Hi there , a Hackintosher this side
I amusing Lenvo ideapad 110-15isk with i3 6006uintel hd 520, Catalina 10.15.7 everything is working fine except hdmi audio and FaceTime .
Currently I am using Voodoo for sound and tried appleALC patch tried all the layout available and perform each method step by step , and when I was doing this have removed VoodooHDA , but failed to do that.
    How can enable these ?
    Thanks in advance .

    1. FaceTime only works when en0 exist with builtin Ethernet or WiFi. If Apple ALC doesn’t work, remove the codeccomander.kext. Remove all AppleHDA disabler.
