If you don’t want to spend a lot of money for AMI system, you can use Analog TV Tuner to stream Audio
This is the best way and very solid.
1. AMI to Auxiliary cable – works with all 2G & 3G .
2. USB Dongle –
I got a new iPhone 6 and it has lightning 8 pins connector which doesn’t fit the AMI 30 pin connector that comes with my Audi Q7 and A8. I tried the new bluetooth adaptor for 30 pins dock and it works perfectly with both iPhone 6 and Android phones. Now I don’t have to connect old iPod and iPhone to the AMI any more, the music will be streaming wirelessly on the fly. All we need is to buy this one

I have an 2011 Audi Q7, with 2G MMI (I believe) and the audio does not work with bluetooth, so I ordered the Ilive adapter, but my car is not recognizing the adapter…what should I do?
do you have the 30 pins apple connector in your car? If it does, then it should work, it doesn’t see your iPhone or android phone, but it does connect. Watch the video. Are you sure your 2011 is 2G? I thought 3G starts in 2011.
I do have the 30 pin connector, and the device does run and connects to my iPhone, but does not play the music through the speakers. And i might be wrong and it could be a 3G, I am not sure how to tell the difference.
Did you wait for 8 minutes? When the crossed speaker icon is gone, that’s when it’s done.
